Marketing for introverts is an important topic for us to discuss for a few reasons.
First, I think there are probably a lot of introverts in health, wellness and fitness careers. Introverts tend to be drawn to helping professions. Not trying to stereotype here – I know there are extroverts on this career path too! But you introverts might need a little more help with your marketing.
Which brings me to my second point rather nicely, which is that a lot of the things you see said about ‘how to do marketing’, or at least the more traditional kind before this digital age we’re now in, tended to be focused on events and networking and meeting people and so on. Here’s the truth you may not have known: a lot of marketing educational stuff was developed by extroverts. That’s fine, but for introverts, sometimes those methods just don’t mesh with their personality and way of being in the world.
I should also point out that I too am an introvert, and had to find ways to do marketing that worked for me. So that’s a big part of what I’m sharing on today’s episode!
