This episode begins a short series on marketing truth bombs. There are a lot of assumptions people make about marketing, and that can really get in the way of doing it effectively.
Probably the biggest assumption we make is that marketing is a sales pitch. And while yes, you are selling something, it doesn’t have to come off in a ‘salesy’ way.
In fact, marketing can be done in a way that is totally authentic and honest. A lot of people assume that if you employ any sort of marketing tactics or strategy you’ll end up being kinda dishonest and sleazy. This is not the impression you want to give as a health, wellness or fitness professional, right? So that’s why we need to break down those assumptions about marketing, so we can get on with finding new clients and getting our name out there in a way that makes sense for us.
