If you want to stick around the profession for the long haul, you need to find ways to make your job easier on you.
Let’s be real. Massage can be really hard on your body as it is a physical job. But it can also be hard on you in other ways, due to working long hours in order to make the income you want to make. After all, no one else is going to do your accounting for you or pay the bills or do all those other 100 admin tasks.
Sure, you can hire someone to help! And for those of you with the budget for that, I say, go for it! That’s a great idea.
But if you don’t have such a budget, you need to find other ways to make it work for you and your business.
I’m going to be going through three categories of items here, or the ‘three ts’: technology, tools, and techniques.
One thing I want you to keep in mind with all of this is another t: Time.
Your time is valuable.
Your time is worth something!
So, if one of the items I mention costs money, don’t let the frugal side of you say ‘oh no we can’t spend on that!’.
I get that we all have to budget. But be honest with yourself about all these ideas: if they would save you serious time and headaches, are they worth the cost?
Can you find a way to afford it? Or can you find another idea that will still help you significantly but at a lower cost?
Overall, we want you to be working as a massage therapist for as long as you want to be, so invest in yourself so you can do your best work.
In this episode we are discussing:
- Technology that can make your job a lot easier! Think less admin time and more free time to go do the things you love.
- Tools that you can purchase that will save your body. Work smarter, not harder!
- Techniques you can learn or use more frequently that are easier on your hands, shoulders, spine, and everything else. Because we know giving massages can be rough on the body, so why not make it easier on yourself?
