Earning better income as a massage therapist

Warning: today I’ve got an unpopular opinion for you! So with that in mind, let’s talk about earning an income as a massage therapist.

On the face of it, it seems simple: charge a fee for your appointments and go from there.

However, if we’re talking about earning a stable, comfortable income, it isn’t always as clear cut.

Sometimes we need to think non-linearly about our income. We need to get creative on ways we can use our professional skills and resources to earn. It helps us get off the roller coaster that booking ups and downs can have.

You see, it doesn’t have to be all hands-on hours or an hour of your time for a fee exchange. Yes, our society expects this. An hourly wage or a salary is how most people make a living.

However, it doesn’t have to be the only way to pay your bills and create a life for yourself! Sometimes we need to break out of the norm and go against the grain of what others in our profession are doing.

Having a mindset of ‘this is the way it always has to be done’ is only going to limit you.

Why do that to yourself?
